Entrada Gratis a Museos este fin de semana

Les recuerdo que este es el primer fin de semana del mes por lo que todos aquellos que tenemos una tarjeta de credito o debito de Bank of America, podemos entrar gratis el sabado y el domingo, con solo mostrar la misma en la taquilla, a muchos museos de todo el pais, incluyendo varios en Miami y Broward County. En museums.bankofamerica.com se puede ver la lista de museos participantes.

Comprendiendo Walgreens

Hoy quiero compartir algunas ideas sobre como funcionan los Register Rewards (RR) de Walgreens.
A diferencia de CVS, Walgreens no tiene una tarjeta de cliente leal. Cualquier consumidor puede ganar los RR (que son equivalentes a cash) como beneficio. Estos aparecen como Register Rewards en un cupon que se imprime una vez hecha la compra que los promociona. Dicho cupon es independiente al recibo de compras.
Solamente se gana RR una vez por oferta en cada transaccion.
Ejemplo: Si el Advil genera $2.00 en Register Rewards en esta semana, aunque compre mas de un pomo en una transaccion, solo obtendre por ellos en dicha transaccion $2.00 en RR. Si lo compro en transacciones separadas, se obtienen por $2.00 cada vez.
Pero ojo, no se pueden usar esos $2.00 generados con el Advil para pagar el siguiente Advil, aunque si para pagar por cualquier otro producto. Generalmente esta impreso en cada RR el nombre del producto que lo genero. Si pienso que voy a tener alguna duda, porque tengo varios RR, anoto en el cupon de que producto lo obtuve.
Por otra parte, diferentes productos que generen RR si se pueden comprar en una misma transaccion y cada uno generara su propio cupon de RR independiente.
Un problema que a veces me sucedia en Walgreens era que la caja registradora no me aceptaba todos los cupones y ademas los RR. Aqui va la explicacion que al fin encontre:
Aunque los RR son equivalente a cash, el sistema de Walgreens los cuenta como cupones de manufactura (los que vienen en los insertos del periodico). Y Walgreens solo permite usar tantos cupones como productos se esten comprando en la transaccion...
Entonces, si tenemos un cupon para cada producto y ademas tenemos RR (dicho que Walgreens lo cuenta como cupon), es necesario comprar algun producto de"relleno", algo para lo que no usemos cupon (en mi caso generalmente leche o pan). Entonces la maquina "iguala" la cantidad de productos con la cantidad de cupones y ahi ya admite todos los cupones y RR para obtener el ahorro maximo.
Los RR expiran generalmente 2 semanas despues que son expedidos, por lo que los mantengo en mi acordeon de cupones, en orden por fechas de expiracion.
Estas son algunas ideas sobre como funcionan los ahorros en Walgreens, espero les sean de utilidad.

Tengo que reconocer que me he convertido en adicta a ahorrar dinero en las compras. Al punto que me molesta cuando tengo que pagar el precio completo de un producto porque no tengo un cupon de descuento para el.
Es cierto que hay que dedicarle un tiempo a los cupones, y que no siempre es facil hallarlo entre las multiples tareas de ser mama, esposa, trabajar y llevar la casa. pero realmente vale la pena. En esta epoca, cada penny suma, y realmente es mucho mas que simples pennies.
Este es mi metodo, que es tan bueno como cualquier otro: cada Domingo, recorto los cupones de aquellos productos que usualmente utilizo, y los guardo en un acordeon de cupones ($1.00/ Dolar Store) donde estan clasificados por categorias que me permiten encontrarlos facilmente una vez en la tienda.
Ademas en el acordeon tengo otros que he impreso directo de internet y que puedo tambien combinar con los del periodico y las ofertas de las tiendas.
Estos son los cupones que saldran este proximo domingo dentro de los periodicos en los insertos de Smart Source (SS) y Red Plum (RP). Combinados con las ofertas de los mercados y las farmacias podemos ahorrar mas aun. Gracias a Deal Seeking Mom por la compilacion.
